Beautiful basket love the liner I wish more baskets had liners. This one is just what I hoped it would be!

I bought the Tall Kubu Wicker Trash Basket w/ metal liner to replace a tall lidded wicker basket that I purchased at WalMart 15 years ago, as its lid was starting to break. Its purpose is for recyclables in the kitchen. This new basket is nice & sturdy. The downside is that the 13 gallon trash bag that I put into the metal liner bin fits too loosely & continuously slips off & down into the bin. Looking for some extra large heavy duty rubber bands to place around the bag at the top -- or I might have to remove the inner bin & just place the bag directly into the outer basket. However, I don't like the idea of the top of the trash bag showing around the top of the basket rim.

We have two solutions for you for the bag. 1) you can take the excess bag at the top, twist it tight to the liner and tuck it under the edge of the bag, or 2) some customers have used a small chip clip to hold it to the metal liner. Probably solution 1 you will find easiest and most convenient. Enjoy your new basket!

I love my new Kubu tall wicker trash basket. I’m actually using it as a storage hamper in my bedroom. I chose it because the style, color and size are exactly what I was looking for. Now that it has arrived, I can say that it’s a beautiful accent piece that fits in nicely with my decor. This is my second purchase from the Basket Lady. Because the first handmade basket I ordered was fine quality, I felt comfortable making a second purchase.

The basket is sturdy. The lid is wisely displayed OFF the basket. It’s not the same size and does not seal the “for garbage or compost “ use. The lid barely balances on the top. It slips around and overhangs one side and exposed inside on other.
I can’t lift the basket as it does not have handles and the design does not indent under the rim to allow moving.
I’m disappointed as this is indeed a unique basket.

I purchased this waste basket for my then new home, 15 1/2 years ago. It has held up so well and is still going strong. I highly recommend it it’s a great value!
