Gifting “Green” This Wedding Season

Wedding season is upon us! Whether you're getting married, or one (or several) of your friends are tying the knot, it's definitely time to start thinking about wedding and shower gifts. I recently found out that half of the paper consumed in the U.S. every year is for wrapping and decorating items. So, I’m challenging myself, and other eco-conscious individuals, to find ways to “gift green” this wedding season and beyond.

First, look through the registry and try to pick the most eco-friendly products on their wish lists. Then, skip the giftwrapping, ribbon and bows and get creative. Find wicker baskets that can function with your items and package everything together for a beautiful and sustainable gift.
